Bare Roofs - But Big Promises

Birmingham City Council is pushing solar panels for residents - but with only 1 in 20 council homes fitted, its own rooftops remain mostly untouched. Green ambition, or just more hot air?

Well done, Birmingham City Council!
No, really — credit where it’s due. A lovely little leaflet landed on my doormat this week, all full of sunny optimism. It sang the praises of solar panels, energy savings, and a greener tomorrow. The kind of thing that gives a man hope.
Hope… or heartburn, depending on how well you know BCC’s actual track record.
