Let’s talk about Cllr Greg Brackenridge — or Cllr Walter, GB, as I’ll call him.

He’s a Wolverhampton councillor. A former Lord Mayor. A long-standing Labour figure. And — it appears — the husband of one of the city’s current MPs. She now holds the seat once represented by my dear old pal Ken Purchase — one of the finest men to sit in Parliament.

Greg also told the world he was a Royal Marine.
