Interesting analysis, Mike. Appears to be based on clear thinking and knowledge of the wards, incumbent councillors (where they haven't been de-selected by The Machine), and potential opponents rather than opinion polls - which of course have already kicked off, I have have seen 3 so far (including the ITV 'exclusive') and there are variabilities, for example the seats won by the Labour Party range from 20 to 32, Conservatives 10 to 24 and Reform 14 to 26. My personal view is that opinion polls, like all the other surveys that the press like to bombard us with often reflect (or are massaged statistically) to reflect the views of the organisation commissioning such things - and perhaps they could be accused of having, or attempting to have an undue influence on the election result?
